F4

Hyung。。都是你。要考试了才来poF4的影片。。害我现在无法自拔。。(自己定力不够还怪人)

Commencement of Sem 2

Yeah, finally classes resumed on the 2nd of April for my class since we don't have classes on Mondays. Our timetable really sucks. Out of 4 days of classes, 3 days will end at 6pm. Sigh!

It was a really bad start for me. Started having sore throat on Monday night, and I couldn't sleep the whole night because my throat was that pain. Went to class zombie-fied with half my voice left. Tahan-ed all the way from 8 am till 4.30pm, then had to go to SS15 to print the notes that we need the next day. Luckily JingEn fetched me there so I didn't have to take the bus. Reached there, and we will still not sure how many copies to make, and even if we printed it, how am I going to carry it up the bus to uni the next day?

So, we had to make another trip to Ichiban on Wednesday morning. All the printed notes stacked up was about 30cm high. Damn heavy! Then he ask me, why didn't I leave it there for them to print yesterday and pick up today. WHY DIDN'T YOU REMIND ME! Haiyo. After going to Ichiban, we went for lunch at the fried rice stall. Feels so good to eat it after so long! (Ignoring my sore throat while eating the fried rice).
 Fried Rice! :D

Reached uni at 12pm, car park FULL! We had to park all the way to the last row of the car park. And while we were walking towards campus, all the cars started coming out. WALAOEH y u no come out earlier! JingEn had to carry that whole box of printed notes from his car all the way to our class. His shirt was all drenched in sweat after reaching the class. Went to Pyramid to meet up with Yun, Phiak, Jie, Jiat, Gina and the unimportant WK. Had dinner with them, walked around then went home at 10pm. Damn tired.

Pasta Zanmai

Thursday, which is today, was our first ever real kitchen class. What I mean by real kitchen class is we will be cooking for the restaurant for customers to eat. Best thing, Taylors didn't know that we had kitchen class, so they didn't prepare a single thing for us. Even the chicken was still frozen by the time we were cutting it. Smart Taylors. So we were rushing to prepare everything and Chef Diana was very unhappy about our speed. So she ended up cooking everything in bulks. In the end, we didn't cook much today and most of the cooking was done by chef. Can't imagine if it was an assessment, how low will our marks be.

Before the restaurant started to open, I suddenly came down with headache. A very very very bad headache. Like something heavy smashed on the head, and the left side was pulling against the right side of the head and vice versa. After that, it became left, right and front pulling against each other. Until kitchen class was almost over, I finally went and sit down at the side with Tan who was having stomach ache. Our classmates who walked by all thought that we were just being lazy. Took a bathe in the changing room after class ended and felt better, but my cough worsened after going for the next class. The air cond in Taylors is really too powerful. Felt so sick and sleepy in the class and Evelyn started whatsapping me and ask me if I'm ok. Class ended early and I was planning to take the bus home but she was one step faster than me to ask JingEn to fetch me home. Luckily he fetched me home, if not I think I will faint in the bus.

Part time job part (3)

27th March (Wednesday)

Destination: Sepang again. BMW new motorbike launching. HP4.

Went to uni at 7.30am to wait for JingEn to come and fetch us. Davin even took a taxi to uni. Alamak! == Reached there at 8.30am, and we stoned in the car until 9am when David came because we don’t know where’s the kitchen and if we’re at the correct place.

Rainy morning in Sepang. For once we experience such heavy and long-lasting rain in Sepang

Went up to the kitchen and started our work.  My job was to prepare wet cold towels for the people to use later and I will be down at the pit stop with Davin. David always puts me with him I don’t know why. It was raining heavily in the morning so I thought that the test drive will call off, but then they still went on with it after the sun came out. The humidity! URGH.  It was my first time walking into the pit stop and seeing motorbikes running in front of my eyes at 200+km/h. The humidity at the pit stop was awful!! Heavy rain in the morning, then bright sun after noon. Imagine that. How I wish to have a test ride on the bike too L

Opposite is where we were at during the FMFA week

This cross country bike costs RM89,000++

The new HP4. a track motorbike. RM 1.5mil ++

Another cross country bike, RM 80,000++

Press conference in the pit stop

Another view of the F1 circuit

Work ended at 4pm and I was already very sticky due to the humidity. Went into JingEn’s car and got worst. His car air cond was blowing out hot air. Luckily I was sitting in front so there was still slight feel of cold air. Those sitting at the back was complaining all the way through, saying his air cond rosak, driving skills not good, getting car sick. But yeah there’s still room for improvement on his driving skills. I don’t know how many times I yelled “brake brake brake brake”.

Went to the pharmacy in SS15 to pick up some medicine, then to Sunway to fetch Nadia. Went to My BurgerLab for early dinner. The queue was already until outside the door when we reached at 5.30pm. After dinner, we went to One U to watch movie. Bought tickets for “The Call” since Ah Boys to Men 2 was too late. That movie is really scary. Not the ghost kind of scary, but you won’t know what to predict for the next second. There was one part where it was quite sad, Vivian and I started tearing, then JingEn looked at us, then we looked at each other and started laughing. There was a few scene where I almost got heart attack and throughout the whole movie, my blood pressure was up. Damn gan jiong ah! I got scared till I was hugging the arm rest at one point, but luckily the person sitting beside wasn’t a stranger. If not the awkwardness…… Overall the movie was nice, but the ending abit cacat only.

My BurgerLab. Still delicious. Our photo is still on their wall.

The call.

Came out from the cinema at 10pm, then I suggested to go SS2 for dessert. Normally from One U to SS2 is like 10-15 mins, but we took 40 mins due to the jam and JingEn got lost halfway. After the movie, we run like crazy fellas when we see a car reversing. (Is a scene from the movie) JingEn say we have 看戏后遗症 LOL!

I still can’t find my ling chi kang stall. First time I bought the wrong one, second time which is today, the stall was closed. Are you trolling me? The next time I go, I will find you, and eat you!

Part time job (2)

11th March (Monday)

My plan was to go uni at 3pm as told by Ms Jasmine to settle the drinks we are supposed to make for the edu fair on Sunday. Woke up to a veryyyyy blur Monday. Posted on twitter saying that "today is Friday, what time to go out to avoid the prayers". I really did not realise what day was it until JingEn replied saying "today is Monday ya". FACEPALM!!! Had lunch at home, then went to the bus stop outside my house. Took one and a half hours to get to Kelana Jaya and then to lakeside. Normally it will only take like 50 minutes! Should have called JingEn to fetch me from KJ. Geram sial. It started drizzling and the rain got heavier while I was still walking towards campus, and rain poured once I stepped into the library. Lucky. Ran down to Truffles in the heavy rain, and bumped into JingEn in the toilet. Damn, my jeans was soaking wet! Waited outside the restaurant for 10 minutes with JE, saw some scary lightning, and then they only tell us to go in from the back. Say earlier la haiyo... lightning damn scary ah! We were finally done with all the drinks by evening. Ms Jasmine even showed us how to do flambe pancake which we are supposed to do in sem2. Yummy!
Heavy rain while we were outside Truffles

Went out for dinner with Tan, Davin and JE at the fried laksa in SS14, and then dessert at tong pak fu. The three of us ordered the durian ice, and JingEn ordered honeydew. I kept stealing his honeydew ice since he was busy on the phone. :P After that JE sent me to Subang Avenue to wait for my sister. I was opposite Subang Avenue when sis called, and then told her to wait and that I can see her. At that same moment, a brand new BMW stopped in front of her and she thought that it was JingEn's car. Funny.

Fried laksa and Tong Pak Fu! :D

12 March (Tuesday)

Day 1 at Sepang, food catering for the FMFA crews.

Woke up at 6am, sibeh early. Tan and Davin came like 7am? We were told to reach at 9.30am, but we reached at 9am instead. David and the kitchen crew lagi syok, 10am only reach. So we lingered around, sleep for a while and then started working. Our initial kitchen was in Cooperate Suite 14, but was moved to the burger kitchen behind CS2 in the evening. Imagine all the things we had to carry, and is quite some distance apart. A big chiller, big gas stove, all the kitchenware, cutlery etc etc etc. The organizer, Lau even suggested us to use a trolley to push the chiller. Then he happily pushed a trolley which belongs to us, and told his worker to get him a Hilux for transporting the chiller. Joke of the week man. Dude, that chiller is at least 6ft tall, imagine the weight man.

Different views of the F1 circuit

View of the stage from our tent

View from the outside of our kitchen

Fire? Fogging lol.

They even have an ATM machine there. But it was spoilt on the first day of FMFA. ==

Transported everything down to the place we were supposed to serve food, at it was like a freaking sauna! Imagine 2 tents, totally enclosed, with only 2 doors, under the 12pm sun. Yes, we were in there for 3 hours, without fan and aircond. We were complaining, but KelVin complained the most. What to do, rich kid. LOL. Luckily they gave us an aircond in the end. JOY. After lunch, Tan kept complaining that her stomach feels uncomfortable. She drove up to the toilet and then I realised that she started vomitting and diarrhea. :(

Due to the movement of the kitchen and all the food being exposed to the heat, we couldn't serve dinner on that day. David and Jes refused to serve because they were busy cleaning up the new kitchen, which was freaking dirty. I think it was left empty since the previous F1 event?

Luckily they released us early at 7pm, if not I don't think Tan will be able to survive through the whole thing. We kept telling her to stay at home and rest the next day, but she insisted that she can make it. She even drove us home even though she felt damn ill. Felt so bad for that =/

13 March (Wednesday)

Day 2 at Sepang.

Since Tan is not feeling well, we forced her to stay home and rest. With her condition like that, it would have been difficult to stay through Sunday. Went to uni early in the morning to pass some edu fair things to Ms Jasmine, then waited for JingEn to come. Buy Mcd breakfast never buy for me! Then we went to Mentari to fetch Davin and headed to Sepang. Wanted to sleep in the car but since I've to tell him how to get there, I can't sleep.

Reached there at 10+, still damn early. Followed David's instructions to open the doors and let some air out, and then stoned for 3 hours to wait for him. Went to the audience seat to chill and sleep while the kitchen crew guys went out to LCCT to buy breakfast. But then we were still full so we told them to not buy our share. Regretted so much in the afternoon. We all became so hungry, and no one was free to go out and buy food. By the time David reached, we had to load up all the things and start our serving job. HUNGRYYYY! While working, I really couldn't stand properly due to the dizziness. We stood there while starving until 6pm, and finally they bought dinner! Holy crap.... nasi goreng PEDAS again. TT stomach was already uncomfortable, and with this spiciness, I could feel to stomach burning. Under those kind of circumstances, is either you starve or just eat it. We went to the top level of the audience seat to have our dinner. The view was fantastic! Cooling evening breeze with sunset view. Just too nice. Continued to serve dinner at 7pm, and finally finished work at 10.

Davin, JingEn and me

We were so bored till we started playing a rubber band game that appeared in Running Man before.

Windy! Nice weather :)

Panaroma view from the upper level of audience seat

F1 pit stop

The sunset with some drizzle of rain that accompanied our dinner. Romantic but wrong timing!

Then we realised something. Both days of the FMFA concert will be until 2am. We always thought that is only the Friday night one which is until 2am, and Saturday one will end earlier. Then only David tell us that both Friday and Saturday we will be staying at Nilai since the concert will end very late. *OH-UH!!!!*  We still have to go for edu fair on Sunday and got to reach uni by 9am! Such a good news.

Genius JingEn's car have only 2 petak of petrol left in the car when we left Sepang. There's a Petronas right opposite the F1 circuit, but he insisted to pump Shell instead. Just like my cousin. == Left us worried for 50km till we reached USJ and went to a Shell station. Please check your petrol before travelling next time terima kasih banyak-banyak!

14 March (Thursday)

Off day! :D

15 March (Friday)

Packed all my things for 3 days and off we go! Reach Sepang and the same routine starts. Waited till their lunch ended, then we only pack and go back to our kitchen for lunch. I think it was some kind of Nasi Kandar with salted eggs and not-so-spicy curry. We ate some of the food from the buffet we serve before coming up, so one packet of rice was actually too much. When JingEn was trying to open up the packet of curry, suddenly *SPALSH!* Curry spilled everywhere on the floor. Luckily it didn't kena my shoes if not I'm so going to kill him. That packet of rice wasn't very big but we were quite full, even the 2 of us could barely finish the rice. I took all the salted egg white and left JE with the yolk. Evil, I know. But hahahahahaha to bad for him to be my 'hyung' :P He enjoys the yolk anyway. Weird.

My FMFA pass

The pathetic table we had our lunch on

From the back of the stage

Taken by JingEn. The only one who has the access card to go to the front stage.

The white colour thing is actually balloons. When the concert was about to end, they released all the balloons in the air and it looked like stars blinking. Too beautiful.

Washed all the crockery and cutlery for serving dinner, and JE headed off to settle the artist's food. Of course la they will have seperate food right. Then the 4 of us stoned again for 2 hours before we continued working. That night's dinner was a total mess! The food was only catered for international crews and some artist, but the local crews and us didn't know anything about it. So we kept running out of food. STRESS. But I think kitchen more stressed up la got to keep cooking and cooking. And there was this Aussie lady Paula, she came in almost everyday and will be stressing us out. "I need 5 plates of food for my crew right now". And her now means right now. HELLOOOOOO are we your maid or something? Ok nevermind, we pack nicely for her. But then the next day, we will see all the 5 plates stacked up outside the tent, with the food left untouched and it smells AWFUL. That was the most geram thing we face everytime she comes in. Can't you just get your crew's ass down here to eat and go?

The music from the stage was damn loud and noisy, our whole tent kept vibrating, my head was aching like crazy, and I was freaking hungry. Should have just ate the whole packet of rice instead of sharing. Finally we waited will 2am, then we started packing and cleaning and went to our rented house in Nilai. When we were on our way at a traffic light, Tan saw a lady, wearing a thin see-through white t-shirt, with a pink bra. We all were saying "whoaaaaa", but then JingEn was like "WHERE? WHERE?". His reaction was damn funny. Naughty boy! Hahahaha.

We reached Nilai at around 3am I guess? The kitchen crew went into the house first and took the master bedroom. So we the juniors took the smaller room which has only two single beds. By the time we all finish bathing, it was nearing 4.30am. Best thing, there's no hot water supply for bathing! Coldddddd. Tan and Vivian shared the single bed (I dont know how did they manage to sleep) and Davin took the other bed. JingEn and I both slept on the floor in our sleeping bags. I couldn't really sleep and woke up every interval hour due to all kinds of reasons: air cond too cold, davin's alarm, vivian's alarm, almost knocking into JingEn etc. Im the kind of person who cannot sleep still, so each time I wake up, I will find myself right beside him, and then I turn back, sleep, and the same thing happens.

16 March (Saturday)

We woke up at 9am to find that there wasn't water in all the bathrooms! So we had to use the mineral water from FMFA to brush our teeth. Bought Mcd breakfast on the way to Sepang and Tan decided to take her bathe there.

Last day of FMFA! Today was abit different. JingEn continued to concentrate on the VIP artist part, Tan and Vivian was at CS17 serving buffet for the artist and their crew, Davin and I was at the tent serving Prodigy and their crew. While we were serving the buffet dinner, JingEn came down with Jay for a while. Then I told him "형 배고파", he then tell me:我也很饿,都还没吃饭. That fella was quite dehydrated but then when we pass him a bottle of water he doesn't want it, and when we pass it to him in a cup, he gobbles it up. Can't blame him, how to drink from a 9.5Lit bottle. Their black shirt was covered with white patches from the evaporated sweat, especially the kitchen guys. While we were clearing the buffet dinner, I texted him and ask if we should leave some food for him. Mana tau he said no need la, cold already also not nice. 饿死你!Jane still scooped up food for 4 pax, just incase JingEn wants to eat. The three of us ate almost everything, and left him with some lamb and wedges. Right after that, he came down with Jay to look for food. Whack you ah! Just now say don't want now say want food. Be glad that I didn't finish all the food. Was still so hungry even after eating.

David call at 11+ and ask us if we want burger from my burgerlab. I thought he was joking as burgerlab is in Sea Park and we were in Sepang. Then only I found out that they have a stall set up in Sepang but the burgers were sold out very early. Sob. No supper for us :(

Prodigy's supper was to be served at 2am, so by the time they finish eating and we clean up everything, it was already 3+am. Since it was our last day there, we were all chilling outside the kitchen, sitting on the grass drinking strawberry vodka and Asahi. JingEn accidentally pronounced it as Asasi and it became our joke since then. Tan drank two and a half cans of Asahi and was starting to get drunk but she still insist that she can drive. We all even bluff her that she went and climb a tree. Another joke since then.

Went back to Nilai at 5am, still no water! We followed the instructions given by the house owner and tuen on all the pipes, still no difference. Tan and Vivian was already dead in the car, Davin was sleeping in the living hall. David, Jes and Jane decided to go home since there's no water but there's no point of us going back to Tan's house at that moment, so we decided to stay there for the night. So JingEn and I were busy filling up water from the kitchen into the pails for them to bathe and sleep. Tan was damn ganas that night. JingEn asked her to get down the car and go into the house to sleep, but he ended up getting scolded. Poor boy. The two of us only managed to sleep after 6am, when the younger ones were already sleeping comfortably.

17th March (Sunday)

Slept for less than one hour, and it was time to wake up and get to uni. Imagine how little sleep did we get this few days. My biological clock and eating time was totally screwed. My brain will become very very very blur when it's lacking of sleep. Tan woke up and ask me how did the two of us (JE and I) bathe, I almost answered her: 一起冲. But yeah, same time in different bathrooms. Brain oh brain.

Reached uni at 9am, had our speed breakfast then went to Thyme restaurant to meet Ms Jasmine. She didn't inform us that we need to put on make up, so when she saw our faces, she was shocked. Okay, now we know you have to groom yourself properly if you're working in the front line, no matter for guys or girls. And grooming means from head to toe, hair to face to attire to shoes. Yeah going to face this in sem 2 again.

Went to KLCC and started setting up our booth. Oyr job today was to make drinks and promote our Uni/course. But if compared to the ones working on Saturday, we did a bad job. Obviously you can't compare sem6 students to sem1 students right? We need more of this kind of exposure man!

We learnt how to make syrup carviar by dropping it from a syringe into edible calcium water. Then I was assigned to make another drink called "plant in a pot" which is made of chocolate lassi (chocolate syrup+milk+yogurt) and a layer of mint foam and garnished with a stalk of mint leaf on top. Mr Justin was the one who teached us how to make all these drinks. Not the carviar though, that was by Mr Steven I think, who is an alumni of our uni.

Packed everything up and went back to uni to wash up. Second time using the dish washer. Damn cool la!

Went to SS14 for bak kut teh with Ms Jasmine and the others. Miss the bak kut teh there so much! Went home and knock out after that.

All done by Taylor's culinary students. Damn pro!

21 March (Thursday)

David decided to belanja us lunch today :D

Went to Subang Parade with JingEn in the morning to look for postcards (Who still sends postcards nowadays?) then we headed off to uni to settle out fees and get the dean's list. While he was buying curry puff from the stall in Block  E, I was standing beside him and the worker there asked :" girlfriend ah?" OMG damn embarrassing pls. Then the both of us said no no no and quickly walked off.

Reached David's larder in Ampang and his son, Jamie was playing computer games and making whole lots of noise hahaha.

Each of us opened a bottle of beer before eating and I opened a second one after lunch. The dishes they cook was freaking awesome!! Especially the beef. No sauce or flavouring, just medium rare and salt. The potato was delicious too! Soaked in milk and then goose fat and baked. Holy... I can die for it.

Then it was dessert time. Tiramisu from Alexis. Tiramisu has always been my favourite cake of all. :D

After dessert, David took out a few bottles of Rogue which he stole from FMFA. According to him, this bottle costs RM25 per bottle. WOW! JingEn couldn't finish his cup as he can't take the taste of it so I ended up finishing 2 cups including his. Started to get high after all these alcoholic drinks, and they still gave us a cup of Patron. That tequila was really really dry and rough. One small sip and I could feel the burnnnnn in the throat. That was one unforgettable meal.

来来来,一人一瓶!

Tan and Davin

Seafood pasta

Beef beef beef!

French loaf and the yummy potato

Rocket salad with balsamic vinegar, mozzarella cheese and tomato

Whole table of yummy food

Chickennn! The skin was crispy and delicious. For a person who doesn't like to eat skin saying that it is delicious. Imagine that.

Tiramisu cake from Alexis. The one I can die for.

The one in the cup is from the right hand side bottle, Rogue. This is the one I had to finish for JingEn. Juniper (left) tastes better actually.

The burning Tequila. But it tastes better after mixing with coke.

P/S: I saw Jinnyboy on one of the days in Sepang. Friday I guess? But we were in the car rushing to go down to the food tent, so there was no chance to see him face to face :( so near yet so far.
